Quick Review

Pros:

• I like the widget placement. The widgets are also very useful
  
• Not a hi-tech nav bar, but it looks great
  
• Topic Icons work for your forum
  
• Text is readable and doesn't stand out too much

Cons:

• There aren't enough scrolling announcements and the text changes
  
• I would move the log-in widget up to 1st or 2nd
  
• I don't like the organization of the Administration and Updates categories
  
• Several forums have very few posts
  
• Several groups don't have any members
  
• There aren't enough Batman forums
  
• You need a favicon

Neutrals:

• Banner - white on black was a good idea and it works, however, I would try to vectorize a batman image and use that instead.
  
• 35 posts per user for a small forum is nice. Good work there.

I'm just going to expand a bit on what I said in the Cons. As I said, white on black is good, but I would try something that looks a little more sleek. Try vectoring a image of Batman of him doing some kind of action and then maybe do something with Joker, Robin, Penguin, etc.

Next, I think the categories need some organizational work. I hugely disagree with forums that have a staff application forum. I would get rid of that forum and add the Rules to the Updates category. Then, I would also move the Questions/FAQ and Suggestions to the Updates forum.

I would get rid of the groups that don't have members since there's no point in having them.

Finally, i think you should make a small image of batman for your favicon.
