Aquaman in the Comics

Post by dcfan100 on Mon Apr 19, 2010 8:25 am

Wow Shocked, Aquaman sure is different in the comics than he is in Brave and Bold. He seems more like a knock off Sub Mariner. Personally, I like Brave and Bold Aquaman much better Very Happy

In the comics, Aquaman is all "My hand got cut off, they'd tried to kill my son, the surface people hate us, my brother betrayed me,angst, angst, angst"

Dang. That is a difference, but I think I like B:TBAB better. More humor, and light hearted-ness. Not much of an angst fan. >.< Thanks for the explanation.

Still, the modern comic version of Aquaman's better than his super friend's version. "Help! I can't swim!", jk XD

*The superfriends get rocketed to Saturn in an ice capsule which unfreezes and soon as they arrive*

Aquaman: How did that happen?

Batman: Luckily my bat infared heat laser, that I keep in my utility belt for just such occasions got us out!

By the time Super Friends Galactic Guardians rolled around the show had actually matured quiet a bit. We actually got to see the murder of Batman's parents in the episode when he's under the influence of scarecrows fear gas. In that version his parents were murdered after seeing the movie Robin Hood, (although then it would probably make more sense for young Bruce to grow up to be Green Arrow) not to mention it had a really cool version of scarecrow.

Pretty deep compared to when Lex Luthor took over the justice league computer to turn the entire world into Bizzaro's and Cheetah's. (Sounds like one of my fan fics Shocked )
